This precious little basket is indeed lightweight. The gorgeous, marble textured Buckeye base provides a masculine spirit to the twisted pine needle coils. I chose deeper pine needle and thread wrap colors to coordinate with the darker swirls in the wooden base. There is a dark bronze bird in flight charm on the side as a nod to this sweet baskets lightness. It’s perfect for small treasures or as a more utilitarian container for keys or guitar picks, but also nuts or wrapped candies.

The beauty and creativity of this piece is a pleasure to enjoy each time I pick it up, or even look at it. I find myself rotating it because the appreciation does a 360. To think artist gathered all materials for her baskets makes it even better. There is a little bird charm attached to it . I love it. Thank you, Jody
