Inspired by the tiny enameled copper disc I found at a glassblowing shop in Boise Idaho last year. Winterberry is a coiled pine needle basket made from long leaf pine needles, some of which are cooked in a glycerin and water solution, some lightly dyed, and some raw (but clean). I placed a bit of leather on the underside to prevent the copper from scratching the table surface.
I love this particular shape. I find it very attractive and useful because of its depth. I brought in the festive deep winter colors that remind me of Christmas. The gold thread brings so much light!
